As far as the language of ink painting is concerned , Qin Shen has his own innovation, “new”in the expansion of “space in ink painting ” .Shen Qin uses the ink to display a non-substantial “sense of space”, to convey the perception of spaciousness, that is the blank, the mutual effect of empty and full, which are essential fields of the Chinese traditional theory of painting. In respect to this, he expresses himself exquisitely, all his paintings look very empty, though this emptiness is not void but spaciousness, and what this spaciousness creates is an atmosphere, which needs an inner existence, which needs the innermost of the artist to understand it deeply.
